Welcome to the webpage for parents and friends in the NH Region XII area and in the greater Upper Valley area of New Hampshire and Vermont. On this page we will list support groups and other educational events and informational activities that will be supportive of parents with special needs of all types. "At Wits' End", a support groups for parents of children/teens using and abusing substances meets every Monday at 6 pm in Room 150 of the tip Top Bldg in downtown White River Jct. Upper Valley Support Group is pleased to announce the start of two new programs and the hiring of the staff for them.**UVSG is the site for the Partners in Health program in the Grafton County/Region 12 area. Katie Merrihew will serve as Coordinator and provide a range of support services for families of children with chronic health care needs. A Family Council, made up of parents and consumers, will help provide direction and support to the program. Phone # 448-7108. At 12 Flynn St. in Lebanon. Nicole Demers is the coordinator of the Respite Program.
Respite support is available to any parent needing the support. Call Nicole at 448-1268 to learn more about the program.The Upper Valley Support Group now has its own website, thanks to webmaster extraordinaire, Ted Bergeron. That site has a regular update of all activities of UVSG and other matters. It contains a full listing of the books and materials available in our Nathan Hall Library. Check it out at www.uvsg.org.
